Who I am

Decades of sound experience

Martin Bienlein has decades of experience in associations and in political advocacy.

  • Since 2020, he has held various mandates: health insurance tariffs, development of a child protection organization, church campaign project, advocacy for an association in the health sector, association consulting (strategy) and dossier processing for tobacco control.
  • Before that, he worked for 17 years at the national hospital association H+ The Swiss Hospital Federa-tion (health policy, especially service providers), 13 of which in a leading position as head of the strate-gic unit Politics.
  • In the 1990s he was on the board of the Association of Swiss Student Associations VSS (education poli-cy, especially higher education policy).

Today Martin Bienlein is active in various associations

  • lupus suisse (patient organization), since 2021 presidency and finances
  • Swiss Society for Health Policy, since 2011 Board of Directors
  • Neighborhood association, auditor since 2011

University

His studies of political science and law in Bern and Geneva (thesis on federalism) provided him with a systematic and professional knowledge and understanding of Swiss politics.
